Counselling for Young People

Finding a suitably qualified Counsellor who a young person can connect with is not always easy.  Felicity Garland at Evolve Counselling specialises in counselling children and young people.  Felicity has spent over 5 years working as an Adolescent & Family Counsellor on the North Shore. She also works as an Educator at the Australian College of Applied Psychology teaching students who are studying to become Child & Adolescent Counsellors.

Young people may feel apprehensive about the thought of coming to speak to a Counsellor; having yet another adult telling them what to do is understandably very unappealing.  At Evolve Couselling our aim is to form respectful partnerships with the young people who consult with us, so that a space can be opened for identifying problems and exploring the ways in which they can change their relationship to problems so that ultimately their hopes can become a reality.
